Comparative Study on Hot Metal Flow Behaviour of Virgin and Rejuvenated Heat Treatment Creep Exhausted P91 Steel

This article reports on the comparative study of hot deformation behaviour virgin (steel A) and rejuvenated heat treatment creep-exhausted B) P91 steels. Hot uniaxial compression tests were conducted two steels at a temperature range 900–1050 °C strain rate 0.01–10 s−1 to total 0.6 using Gleeble® 3500 equipment. The results showed that flow stress largely depends conditions. for increased with an increase in given vice versa. stress–strain curves exhibited dynamic recovery as softening mechanism. material constants determined Arrhenius constitutive equations were: exponent, which was 5.76 steel A 6.67 B; apparent activation energy, was: 473.1 kJ mol−1 564.5 kJmol−1 B. From these results, better workability than Statistical parameters analyses had good correlation between experimental predicted data. Pearson’s coefficient (R) 0.97 0.98 average absolute relative error (AARE) values 7.62% 6.54% shows can effectively describe steel, this method is applicable industrial metalworking process.
